GMT 4 – boot cleaning

Beyond Danehill our route looked quite straightforward.

It passed through an area with several tiered lakes, and markers for pheasant shoots.

Just to the north we bobbed onto a country road I’ve often used whilst cycling.

A familiar place, happy memories of cycling with Tom – I felt reassured. Only one and half miles to go now.

Except I ended up going the long way back to the car, and now need to recommence one and a half miles south of Wych Cross next time.

Every cloud has a silver lining, at last we discovered we could buy coffee on a dairy farm.

What made it even more  fun was a solid fuel stove, and scatter cushions inside a rickety shed.

Our drinks were made in the back of a horse box.

Including my navigational errors I’d covered 11.5 miles.
