“Lead me O Lord, in your righteousness because of my enemies; make your way straight before me.”
Psalm 5:8
Consider the words of King David. The one who is known by The Lord “As a man after my own heart”.
How did gain this accolade?
He looked above for guidance.
We may not live in lands strewn with warfare, but we can echo David’s desire for guidance.
I was touched by a comment on these pages a few days back;
“Inside the will of God there is no failure,
outside the will of God there is no success.”
What is his will?
Listening to a Frances Chan sermon last week I was given a sharp reminder.
His will is to proclaim the good news about his Son.
Share the Gospel.
If we are in His will we’ll be guided, if not we’ll revert to our ways.
Where will that take us?
“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death”
Proverbs 14:12
We might get things wrong, but our gracious God will stand by us if we turn back on to his paths.
