Two weeks ago I woke up early and suddenly felt unable to go another day without a hair cut.

I imagined every barber in the land would be out snipping away trying to make up for the lost income during the lockdown.

Except I was wrong.

Eventually in the centre of Crawley I found a chap with scissors, who gave me a severe chop.

It was still way before 9:00am so I took the opportunity to investigate the birds at Ifield Mill Pond.

Chiffchaffs, Great Crested Grebes, and all manner of species were all confined within this delightful area.

Best of all? An electric blue Kingfisher that shot over my head and through the railway arch.
