Chuckle – Greensand Way
By the time I reached this field I was almost at my half-way point, in Dunk’s Green.
The route took a diagonal course took me close this tree where numerous Fieldfare’s were hiding.
Once they get in big groups they can be pretty noisy, and to my ears at least it sounds like they’re chuckling.
Later in the day when I was getting close to West Peckham I cam across hundreds with the occasional Redwing also feeding at ground level.
Click here to see the birds, and hear their call.
My way of describing the bird to a novice is that they look like a Thrush shaped male Kestrel.
