Kate Bush? SHoT 18

Heading out across Sharpsbridge Lane towards Newick I was very happy to see a murmuration of Starlings about half a mile to the South-West.

Then I saw this curious bleached vegetation as I started “Running up that Hill”.

Well actually I was only walking, but the image conjured up different thoughts.

In some ways I felt like I was standing down low, and the pylon reminded me of “The Cross”, but then again that upward track also got me thinking of Kate Bush.

Perhaps that’s part of the appeal of long distance walks. We get the chance to explore more than the countryside, and delve inside our own minds.

Curiously once over the crest of this middle of nowhere hill I came across 3 random groups of walkers.
