Near Little London – SHoT 17

After wiggling through the woods, and plodding along squelchy footpaths we took a breather at the top of the hill.

Our water bottles came out, and then we turned right, then left.

Roz whizzed on ahead whilst I was taking a photo of an Edward VII letterbox nestled within a chequered brick wall.

Then the we turned right and dropped down Whitehouse Lane, which in turn brought us to another grassy stretch.

As we walked I had my binoculars at the ready, hoping to see a good variety of birds.

Here’s what we saw yesterday.

Blackbird, Black Headed Gull, Chaffinch, Crow, Dunnock, Goldcrest, Great Tit, House Sparrow, Jackdaw, Jay, Magpie, Mallard, Pied Wagtail, Red Legged Partridge, Robin, Sparrowhawk, Treecreeper, Wood Pigeon.
