
SHoT 2 – Lewes by Night
After the delights of Walberton I soon found myself walking through Binsted and then out across open fields.
Soon I was crossing a Golf Course, and over a small bridge before a long stint in Paine’s Wood.
I was so grateful to have an old torch with me as it pretty dark amongst the trees. Eventually the path came out on the eastern outskirts of Arundel.
Here substantial detached homes abound, but surprisingly most of the roads lack street lights.
It was a real joy to find the official Sussex Hospice Trail took time to meander around the town rather than proceeding directly to the station.
For those of you who aren’t afraid of the dark I’d heartily recommend this trail as quick evening blast.
