Blue Carpet

This afternoon I took advantage of the returning sunshine, packed my back-pack and toddled off on my bike to go bird watching.

My first significant sighting was a Common Tern diving at Hedgecourt Lake, and later I spotted my first Whitethroat of the season just outside Edenbridge.

As I cut across country on bridleways a Buzzard folded back its’ wings into a giant triangle and dived into a tree.

All of these were special moments, but the waves of bluebells in the woods near Moon Lane in Dormansland were equally splendifirous!
