On “The Cheviot” (Pt7)

In times gone by I used to carry a tripod.

These days I travel light, balance the camera on whatever I can find before making a mad dash back into the frame.

It certainly saves lugging about a heavy weight, but once upon a time it nearly went horribly wrong.

I set up the camera at the Alhambra, ran back too fast and nearly disappeared over the wall and almost certain death way below.

Thankfully a quick thinking friend reached out and saved me!

No such problem on The Cheviot.

I ran across the granite slabs which form a fast track pavement and took position next to Jim.

Another summit ticked off.

Now it was time for the descent.

Same way back, or the long way down?
