Last weekend I made a quick dash into Sainsbury’s.

There was a whole lot of “stuff” spinning in my head, and like a Ninja I wanted to get in and out pretty pronto.

Basket in hand I tried to slip past two staff members who were intercepting folk on the way in.

Thoughts like  “Please don’t bother me, I’m not interested, try somebody else” came to mind.

I nearly escaped, then it was explained to me, “No catch, it’s a free gift to celebrate 150 years of Sainsbury’s” and I’d tried to ignore it!

Tea bags and biscuits, and I like both! Yet I had almost walked away having a preconceived idea that it “wasn’t for me”.

Isn’t this just like the Good News? Jesus laid down his life as a ransom for many, but people rush on preoccupied with their ideas about religion.

I so nearly missed out on free groceries, but how tragic if any were to miss out on forgiveness, peace, joy and New Life!

May we each reach out to the least, the lost, and the last today.

Touch the life of someone and bless them, try not to rush by.
