At the end our circular walk we were back outside Penshurst Place.
It’s a grand 14th century property, and still a private residence.
The Sidney family have lived here for over 460 years!
In the foreground you can see a World War II bomb crater.
The home and estate was hit by three flying bombs, which seems pretty unfortunate.
Imagine the repair bills involved.
