Back on the Mid-Sussex Link path again today.
Walk 17 on the Sussex Border Path.
On this occasion Tom was with me, as we tackled the shortest of the 4 “official stages”.
We parked up some way down Church Road, and headed back towards “The Farmers” which was where I finished last week.
What better way to start than take a photo next to this historic post box, which would have been installed some time during King George VI’s reign.
Which makes it’s “Pre-War” and a real piece of history.
Worried readers fear not. I did not use the receptacle as a litter bin!
Next up we went to start the walk proper, by heading North West along the Lewes Road.
Wrong!
We soon found the right path runs along the boundary fence outside the pub.
Tom stood his ground, whilst I re-traced my steps.
