I’ve been walking, with an official group.

Tom led thirteen of us from Goodwood Racecourse on a humid grey day.

We dropped down to Singleton, then up on the South Downs Way to Cocking Hill, dropping down to West Dean, and then back St.Roches Hill.

We covered just over 12 miles in approximately 5 hours, with 3 short stops en route.

That’s Cocking Down in the distance, whilst in the foreground a few gulls and a Red Kite wheeled above the tractor.

The eagle eyed amongst you will recognise this shot from my South Downs Way post a few weeks back.

Some of you may even have made the link to the Allman Brothers classic, Ramblin Man.
