In all my years nature watching I’ve spent precious little time looking for fish.

However there’s always a special feeling when one (or more) can be spotted without the requisite salad or chips.

Sometimes it pays to stand and stare, at others one might be seen instantly.

This “instant trout” was spotted the moment I looked into the Meon.

I’m guessing it a Rainbow Trout, but an iPhone won’t get close enough to the action for a definitive ID.

The photo was taken in Exton.
