Walking away from Bishopstone Church we hear a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a noisy Wren, and a nasal Greenfinch.
I look at a long row of houses with huge long front lawns that slope up to each property. I wonder what it would be like to live in one of them?
Moments later we cross the A27 and a double decker drives within moments. Our £3.80 gets us just two stops, and we just miss the single decker heading back to Lewes.
In effect we’re too far east to walk up the Ouse Way, and end up walking against the traffic on the busy A26.
Roz wasn’t impressed. I wasn’t best pleased either.
Over the next 40 minutes we hop on and off the road, whilst in life preservation mode.
At several points there’s nowhere to hide, an embankment forces us into a game of Russian Roulette where the loser might find themselves under a Scania.
Thankfully we survived!
I’m thankful you both survived as well!
