Saturday + Sunshine = Walk

We had the official leaflet, with the ten point guide to bring us success.

Walkers are advised to arrive by train, or bus.

Unfortunately my on line research suggested the train option wasn’t as easy as the leaflet would have us believe.

Rather than let that hindrance stop us getting underway we parked between Southease on the west of The River Ouse and aiming to start at point “10” and finish at point “1”.

By the time we’d locked the car and got togged up it was 11:20 a.m., which in our book counts as an early start.

Except that within the first half a mile we were distracted by the YMCA, and stopped for coffee.

What a great establishment. It was only opened 4 years ago, and is perfectly sited below the 580ft high Beddingham Hill (just beyond Itford Hill).

Once up there it would be downhill all the way!

What could possibly go wrong?
