At last, I’m back riding.

The doctor had advised me not to rush things after acquiring a minimally displaced greater tuberosity fracture.

Yesterday I made my first attempt at a proper cycle ride in six weeks, covering eleven miles on the shopping bike.

Tonight I was on my Mountain Bike, and headed off to who knows where.

My first stop was at Turners Hill, which looked splendid in the late evening sun.

Then Worth, and on towards a bridleway that was closed.

I took a diversion and ended up riding into a marsh!  Goodness knows how it got a “Bridleway” status.

Somehow I found a way through, and took it easy all the way through to Tilgate Forest.

I avoided mindless deviants sitting on the cycle route, and shortly afterwards got within 20 yards of  beautiful Roe Deer.

Thirteen miles today with about 400 feet of climbing for good measure.
