Last Sunday Jim fired up two disposable barbecues, and nine of us basked in the sun whilst munching Tesco’s finest beef and pork.

Logically we should have rushed off home, but we couldn’t bring ourselves to leave Newton Ferrers.

We went on the water in a rowing boat, with Jim and David taking the oars.

I enjoyed every minute, but wouldn’t want to live down the end of all those wiggly country lanes, only to watch emmetts grab every parking space during the summer.

We eventually packed up and left sometime after 6pm, and got back 5 hours later.
