We accepted an invitation for lunch at Sevenoaks.

It looked like I would get a chance to climb York Hill (mentioned in a recent post).

It certainly looks good at the bottom!

Then the gradient really kicks in.

Five stops for a breather later I finally hit the summit.

Strangely enough I was happy with my performance, whizzing along at a better rate than my last Bough Beech ride.

The fastest i’ve done here to there in the car is 35 minutes, and today on the bike it took 2 hours 17 minutes.

Result!
