I’ve just finished my second eBook, and it was an absolute hoot.

Flat Out, Flat Broke is Perry McCarthy’s autobiography.

It chronicles the lows and all to few highs of a lad who wants to be the Formula 1 World Champion.

Some of the drivers in “The Rat Pack” were guys I followed and photographed thirty odd years ago.

I clearly remember one of the races at Brands Hatch, where Perry was up against “The Secret Squirrel” AKA Damon Hill.

Many readers will have been drawn to the story by their love of Top Gear.

Perry was “The Original Stig” but for me what makes the story special is the sheer determination and tenacity he exercised on his quest to reach the top.

That and his hilarious anecdotes.

It’s a FIVE Star book, well worth the £3.88 deducted from my bank account.
