senses on high alert
If coughs and sneezes spread diseases maybe I’m better off outside?
At least that’s what I thought as I pedalled into East Grinstead.
The frost glistened as I rolled down the side street.
Chilly air rushed past my ears as I continued.
An absence of extraneous sound magnified what might otherwise be imperceptible.
Later I hit one patch which went “kerrunch”as my tyres crushed the icy particles.
The obligatory back brake test proved conditions drew a blank.
No skidding, no traffic, no problem.
