I’ve got my “Townie” back at Crawley Down, and it’s been mild tonight.

So I surrepticiously pinched the lamps from Roz’s bike and went exploring.

First stop,the village centre.

It looked good with Christmas lights all around the defunct “Royal Oak” pub.

After a quick snap I kept pedalling.

I toured through the woeful 70’s semis and then took a trip down the track towards Crawley Down Monastery.

I could barely see where I was going.

So I stopped and turned out my light.

Hey Presto!

A new world came into view.

The route became clear and the woods took on a austere beauty.

One final observation, the drivers here are less circumspect than the old boys poodling around Worthing.
