After nearly nine months our weekend love affair with Worthing is nearly over.

We started coming to visit Roz’s aunt who’d ended up in hospital after a fall.

As she was over ninety perhaps we had unrealistic expectations for her return to “normal”.

She never came home, but that gave us a weekend bolt hole and ample opportunity to visit her in Worthing Hospital.

As her recovery stalled we were happy to pop in on her at Salvington Lodge.

After a remarkably short search a suitable residential home was found that matched her needs.

Despite being unable to walk we’ve never known “Whyee” to be more happy. The other residents keep her alert, and she’s always been pleased to see us.

Now the bungalow has been sold, and remarkably our very own little family have just moved into a lovely new home, which does away with our luxury of a weekend retreat.

The Lord seems to be showing us and our family his infinite care.

Even so it was sad to watch the sun slipping towards the horizon, on this our last weekend together in Worthing.

And we know that all things work together

for good to them that love God,

to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28 KJV
