Thirty yards beyond the Little Grebe were three Roe Deer, quite unperturbed by our presence up on the sea wall footpath.

We’d only been walking 5 minutes, and we’d already seen two wonderful sights.

The East Side of Thorney Island offered the best wildlife, and if you’re a “birder” with limited time patrol this shoreline, as the complete circuit take a few hours.
