I’ve set myself a goal, to clock 1000 miles on each of my bikes by the end of the year.

The Townie was bought way back in March, and is now my reserve bike.

Since getting my Mountain Bike usage is restricted to shopping or trips of less than 10 miles.

It has 778 miles on the odometer. If the weather stays mild, my target is well within reach.

The Superfly gets me out on the Downs, and let’s me explore pretty much anywhere.

It’s the default choice for serious rides. No hill seems too steep, although some downward slopes seem too slippy – and I’m not to averse to walking if it seems safer.

The Mountain Bike has 338 miles on the clock.

I’m itching to do the entire South Downs Way, which is 100 miles almost entirely off road.

Hopefully I can squeeze in this trip before our “on loan” bungalow is sold.

Tonight’s picture was taken on the beach beyond The Goring Gap.
