Our journey continued.

Everything west of Findon was new to us, and I’d specifically chosen a route that featured one of the many ancient hill forts.

Chanctonbury Ring dates back to 300 B.C., and stands at a height of nigh on 800 feet.

After the heavy showers of the morning we were treated to bright sunshine on our approach.

All sorts of myths and legends surround this spot, but we didn’t hang around, as we’d barely covered a quarter of my planned route.
