When the rain came on Saturday I was back in Worthing watching the action via Autosport Live.

Apart from the A35s (more of which later) the stand out event was the first leg of The Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy.

There were plenty of skilled riders on hand for the Le Mans start, and a fair showing of top bikes.

Through the rain those two guys showed amazing pace on the the 1933 Rudge TTR.

The front end looked incredibly unstable but  Charlie Williams and Mike Farrall took victory in the rain-soaked first race onboard.

They couldn’t repeat this in the dry, but were still amazingly quick.  I’d say theirs was the stand out performance of the weekend.

You can get an idea of how they went here.
