Outside near the airstrip was an eclectic mix of old aircraft.

This 1917 Alabatros D.Va was absolutely gorgeous.

I had no idea there were any left.

As a child I had a small model of this and other WW I aircraft that I employed in long tactical games  on our lounge floor.

The fuselage is incredibly streamlined, and the struts and braces and colour shame work to create the most glorious machine at this year’s revival.
