The Sussex Prairie Garden is particularly relaxing as the layout is effectively a giant circle with scores of paths in amongst the flora.

It’s quite difficult to know which bits you’ve seen and which bits you’ve missed.

There are elevated sections with purple benches where you can relax and take in the view.  On one side there’s a series of three ponds.

None of the ponds are particularly big, but they’re big enough to support a bit of invertebrate  life.

I love these big “rhubarb” leaves, which also feature in places like Wakehurst Place.
