The things you discover when out on your bike.

Middleton is a cutesy little village that reminded me of the film “The Eagle Has Landed”.

You know the one, with Michael Caine and a German attempt to kidnap Churchill.

The scene I had in mind was shot at Mapledurham, but Middleton is equally charming and it was the last place I’d expected to find a Fiat Abarth dealer.

The grey 500 looked so tempting.

Sadly the little lane down to the sea had one unfortunate hurdle.

The pathway was not configured for cyclists, so rather than incur the wrath of the locals I headed back in land towards BUTLINS at Bognor Regis.

Yikes!
