Last Sunday night I started an adventure that lasted 155 hours.

Previous business trips to Ireland have been by air, and didn’t involve crossing borders.

This time I planned to blitz the North and South inside four working days.

Trying to arrive by 1:45 pm on Monday after doing five calls in Bristol seemed like a good idea.

It wasn’t, it just meant I had to skip lunch and be very careful about the speed limit.

Somehow I made it to the Roll on Roll off Stena Europe ferry with ten minutes to spare.

  1. I have never been tempted to take the boat to Ireland. However, I do intend to start driving to Scotland as on paper it looks quicker than messing around with aeroplanes. Glad you are safely home – hope you have a restful bank holiday weekend.
