Once we’d reached the cafe at West Wittering we were happy to enjoy an al fresco break.

The girls inside were pleasant enough, but the refreshment and ambience wasn’t anywhere near as good as Sea Lane Cafe in Goring, or Blue Bird in Ferring.

However the entertainment was first rate.

Black Headed Gulls braved the tables next to ours, despite there being a young couple almost within touching distance.

Anyone freaked out by birds would probably have run a mile, but these small gulls are nowhere near as bold as Herring Gulls that intimidate holiday makers all around our coastline.
