For the last 4 days I’ve been trying to buy a compact lightweight tent.

I was inspired by a camera club talk on walking, camping, and taking photos in the mountains.

Today I visited my fourth Go Outdoors store in as many days.

Previously I’d nearly bought a 2014 tent, but despite an online offer of under £75 none of the retail outlets had one at the right price.

It was £99, or order on line.

Something looked wrong in the Lakeside store.  Half the displays weren’t in place, but hey presto I managed to snaffle the last (ex display) model for £68.00!

Imagine my amazement when I got home and followed my daily “Bible in a Year” reading plan.

The first passage I read had these words;

Then he (Moses) spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering of the tent on top of it, just as the Lord had commanded… Exodus 40.19

The second passage was this….

The Lord is my Shepherd: therefore nothing I lack.

He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.

He renews my life…….
Psalm 23
The third passage?
For a man’s ways are before the Lord’s eyes, and He considers all his paths.
Proverbs 5:21
How incredible.
A threefold witness that my heavenly Father knows my mind, and that he cares for the tiniest of details!
Including the best price.

  1. Love it! That is great! I think these little ‘gifts’ come to us unexpectedly because our Father loves to delight us and remind us of how much he cares.
