Leeds Castle

On your left the gatehouse.

To the right is the central element of the three buildings which make up Leeds Castle.

Behind that turret, on a little island is another structure connected by a bridge.

It’s better than a crumbling medieval landmark,  but perhaps not “The Loveliest Castle in the World”.

Top marks to the staff here and in the nearby restaurant who were helpful and courteous.

If you’re near Maidstone it’s worth a visit.

  1. Cool. I think I’ll do a bit of research on Leeds Castle. I love the idea of all that history and how the people lived.
