Great Egrets appear in England but are more common in Hong Kong.

They stand like sentinels on the floating booms that create the swimming zones near Tuen Mun.

This one was sharing a boat with a Little Egret.

I didn’t see it catch anything, but the smaller cousins enjoyed more success.
