Leaving the sleepy town of Grindlewald our little train slowly dropped back down into the valley.
We were aiming to either walk the last mile, or catch the next train back into Interlaken.
Nothing was running for another hour.
We took refuge in a bus shelter, but the savage winds and lashing rains meant we weren’t feeling too comfortable.
Another would be traveller “lit up” and that was it.
I decided we’d catch the next taxi.
The meter kept turning, as the cautious driver took us back to the Roessili.
£10 well spent.
The smoker would have sent me on my way too!
We seem to have less smokers in the UK than in Europe, I used to be able to put up with it, but not now.
I hate it, and there are still a few countries I visit where people smoke in business meetings. For me that means the suit needs to go the dry cleaner as soon as I get home.
