I’ll spare you all the touristy stuff inside the Jungfrajoch, except this one.

The French words are translated above, and stand as a testament to Adolf Guyer-Zeller who first thought of building this incredible railway, and station.

He was granted permission to start the engineering work in 1894.  By 1912 the tunnel broke out, and Jungfrajoch was established.

One wonders just how long a similar project may today, I’;d imagine it would take longer.

Other attractions inside are an Ice Palace (I wasn’t that impressed) and large photos of the railway tinnel being built (far more impressive),
