Only a few memories remain from my school trip 40 odd years ago.

One of which is standing at the Kliene Scheidegg and looking up at the Eiger in awe.

I also recall the sense of disappointment that we were’t able to reach the top.

Today would be different, although the station seemed pretty much the same.

The setting’s superb, but the place feels like a wild west ghost town.

A few folk were milling around as they waited on next the train, and the last leg of their journey.
