These last few months I’ve walked around around this marshy grassland frequently.

It’s the obvious place to watch dragonfly activity.

Except these little critters NEVER show up.

On Sunday all that changed, and I watched what appeared to be two male Common Darters mating.

My (not so clever) photos show that the female was in fact green with a reddish tinge.

The best sightings were of the Migrant Hawkers joined in flight, and then one female gently gliding.

Again my pictures weren’t that good, so here’s the leaves – add imagination and colour for the full picture.
