Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think this tree is commonly known as a “London Plane”.

My research shows they were particularly robust during the industrial revolution and can be seen on streets around the city.

Of the 400 plus photos I took today this is my favourite, and it was taken before we entered Kew Gardens.

  1. I just love Plane trees. I always think of the streets of Paris and parks when I see them.
