One thing that really makes a good holiday (for us at least) is a wide variety of walks.
Preferably far from the madding crowd.
Late on Wednesday afternoon we went for a walk on Dunwich Heath.
I guess we were a week early for the best heather display, but in patches it was pretty good.
Here a silver birch adds a bit of interest, if you listen carefully you might just hear a “zizzing” Dartford Warbler.
It was rather windy, and we only saw two, both of which “showed” for only a split second before diving for cover.
Very good, a lovely combination of colours 🙂
Thanks, I thought a Dartford Warbler rushing towards the camera would have helped – none were obliging.
