You wouldn’t usually think a Ferari is slow, but at Silverstone the LMP1 factory cars were lapping the Ferrari 458s and Porsche 991s around about every five laps.

They were giving away 30 mph on the straights, and had considerably less grip through the faster corners.

Here’s the car that came in 20th overall and 5th in class, some 3 laps down on the Gulf Aston on an earlier post.

The Luis PEREZ-COMPANC, Marco CIOCI, Mirko VENTURI car was the last classified finisher.
