As our church grapples with the future and looks at our human, physical, and financial resources, something wonderful has been happening.

We’ve started to come together and pray.  It’s an old fashioned concept.

Perhaps we all under estimate our prayer life.  We think we should do better, and see more results.  Are we troo busy praying for our health and not seeking God’s will?

After watching Topol in “The Fiddler on the Roof” I was refeshed by his candid conversations with God, and constant meditation on “The Good Book”.  He possessed an inaccurate knowledge of “the Word”, but his characteristic of persistent prayer, reflection, internal deabate and conjiction spoke to me.

God isn’t bothered by how many exams you’ve passed, he just wants you to call Him and get access to “His Way”.

May we do so, and be spared from our own plans.

“Pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:17/18

  1. The more we read His Word, the more we see of the importance of prayer – the essential-ness of prayer!
It is so true that “without Him we can do nothing” – and He chooses to move in answer to our prayers.
