Tomorrow evening we’ll be looking at 2 John.

I keep listenin to it over and over again, hoping to let it saturate my being, and have it’s impact.

It’s a power house of truth all bundled up in a few verses.

The Apostle John writes, but longs for a face to face meeting.

Tired of dry bones religion?

Maybe it’s time to “walk in the truth”, and love one another.

The 21st century is an age of individualism, that runs healong against the caring, sharing message of Christ.

Lay down our lives daily?

What me?  No fear.

What would John say to us today, of all days?

“Whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son”,

or perhaps more pertinently

“whoever runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God”

Be done with living off yesterday’s discoveries, “walk in truth” each day until our Lord’s return.

To do anything less jeapordizes our relationship, nee future.

How does the picture fit in?

Well this sweet little girl and her brother “reside” in an run down flat in the Ukraine.  There’s no sanitation anywhere in the building, one stove to burn sticks (the only form of heating) in a land where temperatures can drop to 30 degrees below zero.

Incredibly in this one room flat there was more JOY than in the home of a multi-millionaire.

Following Jesus, it’s all about relaltionship.

I often forget that….

  1. Amen! It is all about relationship – the JOY of the relationship and the REALITY of the relationship.
